Justice - "Planisphère" - Song of the Day - [12-13-14]

This song by Justice is more like a piece of classical music rather than just a song, it's 17+ minutes long and epic. Even though it doesn't involve a full orchestra honestly I would put musical compositions like "Planisphère" right up there with some of the work by greatest composers ever, like Vivaldi and Mozart. That's how much I love Justice and their amazing music. They are known for putting on incredible visual live performances as well, I have yet to see them live but if I get a chance I absolutely will be there. The band is made up of two brilliant musical minds: Gaspard Michel Andre Augé and Xavier de Rosnay both from France. They are into indie rock music as well as electronic, some of their music almost sounds like long lost Queen b-sides. If you want more about the band and upcoming tour dates follow them on facebook here. Also you can stream the majority of their library on the Official Justice Spotify.

Squarepusher - "Planetarium" - Song of the Day [10/3/14]

http://cdn.self-titledmag.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/squarepusher-title-188.jpg

Here's one by Squarepusher, it's "Planetarium" a trippy, fast paced song from Hello Everything released on Warp Records. This is a prime example of how you can master and manipulate electronic music and create a digital symphony. Tom Jenkinson is the one and only Squarepusher, he is a prodigy as well as an elite multitask specialist. He will bust out all kinds of toys in order to create a specific sound to perfectly compliment his compositions. The result is a incredibly rich work of musical art. Like and follow Squarepusher for more goodies on his official facebook page here.
