Savoy feat: Fatherdude - "Living Color" -- New Music & Tour Inside

"Living Color really embodies our deep love for Disco and Soul music. The inspiration was to really pull feelings and instruments from our favorite era of Disco ('79-80) but for the production and arrangement to feel current and new, yet timeless at the same time. We wanted to make something that doesn't sound like a trend or something that might be expected of us - but more a culmination of who we really are as artists and what has inspired us the most. Father Dude is an amazing vocalist, and we love how the song ended up with a feel good vibe that just flows.

Listen: Tycho Releases Single, "Divisions" - First New Music Since 2014's Awake

Apart from the Awake Remixes, the likes of Scott Hansen and his Tycho crew (Rory O'Connor - Drums; Zac Brown - Guitar; Joe Davancens - Bass, Synth, Keyboards) have been fairly quite as of late on the new music front. It was no secret they were back in the studio and it was only a matter of time for something new to hit the airwaves and boy did they deliver in time for warm summer months. Take a listen to "Division" below and brace yourself for more new music in the near future (hopefully)!

Dawning Music's Hit Track "U" Is Available For FREE!

Dawning Music's song "U" brings a balance between trap and bright future bass. While starting quiet and calm, the track endlessly increases in intensity while holding an overall ethereal mood. It will immerse you into various emotional peaks through its euphoric waves and ambience. Between the rich warm pad and bell strings, quickly this bliss is juxtaposed with hard hitting trap-style drums. These elements battle for control of the mix and seem as if the ambient pads have taken over then the entire song is exploded into an unexpected intensity. The contrasting sections provide for an unparalleled experience to the standard of everyday life, making “U” crave to indulge in another listen.

Golden Brahams/Dusty Owl - "Au Bazar Des Curiosités"

SoundCloud Profile Pic
Hailing from Rennes France, Dusty Owl as he goes by on SoundCloud, has consistently been putting out quality abstract electronic Jams for what seems like forever. Still going by Golden Brahams on Facebook, this french producer creates diverse and deep soundscapes that pull your ear in and don't surrender it until the song is over. This one is no different. If you aren't already, follow him on SoundCloud to keep up with the stuff he releases on what seems like a weekly basis.

PYLOT - "Flashbacks"

Here's the latest music from the most mysterious new artist on Monstercat, it's PYLOT. He has an awesome nu-funk style on this track "Flashbacks" and his story is furthered a bit more with a second journal entry. The story of PYLOT is still unfolding before our eyes and ears through amazing music, and another cool aspect is the artwork that accompanies each song too. In the new image we see PYLOT gazing at a ring he found in his jacket. He's still trying to regain his lost identity and piece together his flashbacks into a more complete understanding of who he is. I for one am enamored by PYLOT and I have a feeling that he will become a very big name in electronic music.

Modestep - "Machines"

A brand new track came out today from Modestep and it rips. This is an early sample of the upcoming album London Road called "Machines." Whats really cool about Modestep is how they perform and record as a full band. They are definitely an electronic group, but there is a lot more to the band than just DJs. They have a very new school sound mixing both rock and electronic to perfection. The band is made up of Pat Modestep on live drums, Ky Modestep on guitar and Tony Modestep DJing and on guitar. They also have a killer singer as well in Josh Modestep, everyone in the band has adopted the last name Modestep. Get your fix today because it's going to be a little bit before the new album is set to drop, the official release date isn't until May 25th. You can pre-order London Road by following the link to itunes.

Bossfight - "Glitch Gremlin"

One of the coolest glitch hop tracks I've heard in a minute. It's Bossfight with a brand new song "Glitch Gremlin" a rad twist of both chiptune sounds, and a hip hop flow. They are a trio from Sweden - Erik Sjöstrand, Robin Jensen, and Sebastian Persson all together they form Bossfight. Tons of nostalgia is built into their music, and I love it. I always unwind with some classic video games, and this sick bass puts me in a chill mood. You know what I'm sayin, just kickin it! Peep out more from Bossfight on their official Soundcloud, and on Youtube.

A Giant Warrior Descends On Tokyo is four very different songs all with amazing quality and production. Sotto Voce is blasting off into the future and this EP shows how some new styles can live in between the traditional formats. It's always fun to hear new music from an innovator like Feed Me. There's a lot of mimicking going on in the music industry, especially with electronic music, but one of the trend setters is Feed Me. You can stream all four songs on soundcloud, or you can buy A Giant Warrior Decends On Tokyo on iTunes by following the link.

Feed Me - "Wuzzle"

Feed Me is set to release a new EP through his label Sotto Voce and here is a little taste. This song is called "Wuzzle" and it mixes a lot of different elements. It has somewhat of a moombahcore flow, and also tribal sounding drums that pound. Feed Me has a way of always coming out with a new blend, but you can hear his brilliant style bleed through it all. The EP will be called A Giant Warrior Descends On Tokyo, and it's sure to be an epic release. You can get it on February 2nd, so don't worry, that's just next week!

Ross Pennock - "A Different Place in Time" - New Album Review [FREE DOWNLOAD]

Artwork By: Rachel Deichert
The Sioux Falls, South Dakota native transplanted in Denver, Colorado, Ross Miller, aka Ross Pennock, just dropped his newest album today, A Different Place in Time. This follow up to his 2014 album, Don't Stand Still, starts off strong with "Falling." Definitely not out of sight, and certainly not out of mind, he sets the stage for killer things to come through the rest of the album. Produced, mixed, and mastered by Dylan West, aka Dylan Jaymes, this album represents a progression of skills and a relentless desire to achieve great things by these two. This skill is ever-present in "Hardly Finished" where production and articulation of a vision come to the forefront. Catchy and powerful with a unique touch of glitchy bass-driven beats, the vocals by Ross are carried along while flawlessly keeping the listener entranced throughout its entirety. "Get Your Own" has an R. Kelly type of vibe to it, without the golden showers. I don't want to ruin the rest of the album for you, so I'm going to let you listen to the remaining songs and draw your own conclusions. Overall, this is great release by a good friend of mine that I only see achieving more and more because of his relentless drive to carve a name for himself in the music world. Cannot wait to see what the future holds for Ross Pennock and Dylan Jaymes. Available for free download through the Mile High Sound Movement bandcamp: HERE.

Tristam - "My Friend"

This is a new one from Tristam perfect for a lazy Sunday lounge session. He brings a totally fresh style with this track, I might call it chill-step or something like that. "My Friend" also includes excellent vocals, possibly from Tristam himself as no vocalist is featured in the title. This is the most recent Monstercat release, they have a lot of talent at the Monstercat record label, in all facets of electronic music. Go check out Tristam and Monstercat for more awesome music.

Wolfgang Gartner feat: Bobby Saint - "Unholy" (Popeska Remix) & upcoming tour!

Joey Youngman created his alias Wolfgang Gartner in the late 90's and has released 2 albums, 5 EP's, and a shit ton of singles and remixes since then. "Unholy" was released in late October of this year, and the California native just recently released some lavish remixes of this stellar track. A personal favorite is this remix by Atlanta native, Popeska. Be sure to check out Wolfgang's upcoming tour and catch this track live.

Spoon - "Inside Out" (Tycho Remix)

Austin, Texas based band, Spoon, released their first album in 1996. Almost 19 years later they released their most recent album, They Want My Soul. "Inside Out" is one of 10 tracks that make up their 2014 release, but Scott Hansen & Co. decided that just wasn't enough. After masterfully infusing the vocals from the original track into the Tycho flavor they have so carefully crafted over the years, us listeners are given an uncommon treat - a Tycho track with lyrics! A treat for fans new and old, sit back and enjoy this awesome abstract pièce de résistance. If you're in Australia or Asia, check out their tour dates below!

Dec3mber & QUEST! - "Jumpscare"

https://i1.sndcdn.com/artworks-000096237474-wqnpns-t500x500.jpg
Here's a sick dubstep collab track from Dec3mber & QUEST! just out today. This song is naughty, it starts all happy and sweet, but then just before the first drop you can hear it take a turn. A metallic robo build up and then boosh, the mean bass drop explodes with electrifying sound. "Jumpscare" is available to download directly thru either Dec3mber or QUEST! on soundcloud. You might recognize the record label too - Kairos Audio - founded by Dirt Monkey and Jantsen, check out the official website for the label here.

The Specials - "Ghost Town" - Flinch & JRabbit and SPL Remixes

You gotta love this, double new shit! Two remixes of "Ghost Town" just in time for Halloween. I love the original "Ghost Town" by The Specials mostly because of the soundtrack to the film Snatch but Flinch and JRabbit team up and make it all new. They kick it all jazzy with a little trap flavor. Then SPL takes it too another level with his raunchy spin on things for another bumpin remix. If you want to get it poppin make sure to rock these songs out at your Halloween party this Friday night.

Rogue - "Atlantic"

Here is a brand new banger from Rogue, "Atlantic" is a full blown electro party melted into one song. Joel Hunt is his real name and he is from Birmingham, England. Rogue's music is always an awesome blend of a lot of electronic sub-genres. I first heard Rogue a couple years ago after Jahan from Krewella shared one of his songs on twitter. Ever since then I have been big fan. You can follow Rogue on facebook here.

KATFYR - "Everybody"

Damn! This new KATFYR song will get you going, tons of energy and epic sounds. "Everybody" starts with an old school feel and builds into a monster electro drop. Then the second time around the build leads into a totally different drop, a more festival style or big room type of drop. KATFYR released this single "Everybody" through the brilliant label SectionZ Records, the best label in electronic music in my opinion. Go check out KATFYR on facebook for free downloads and more.

This is one of the meanest songs I have ever heard before, and I love it! "Among Us" is a collaboration between Adair and Omegamode both new names to me but with music like this why not dig deeper. If you want to try and test some sub-woofers go ahead and download "Among Us" for free from either Adair or Omegamode on soundcloud.
