This is a beautiful song from Capital Cities called "Safe And Sound." For a while I thought this was an Empire of the Sun song, and it is really similar to their style. This is the official video from the Capital Cities vevo. It's a full performance like one you would see for a musical on a Broadway stage. Mellow out and keep it chill today, even though it's going to be a hot summer day.
Today's song of the day is brought to you by Mr. Rogers. This is his submission for the Opiuo/Shambhala remix competition. This remix has a nice glitchy take on the Opiou original. Mr. Rogers has come a long way since emerging from the San Francisco underground in 2006. Check out this track and his other material on the links below.
In it's 4th iteration, the Summerset Music and Camping Festival has once again grown in both size and scale with added stages and it's most ambitious line-up yet. The 3-day festival held in western Wisconsin is just weeks away and as anticipation builds, we thought we'd run through what they have in store.
Now with music on 5 different stages, there is action happening all the time. Last year's upgraded Grove stage may have been the best of the 4. Now with this year's additon of the Meadow stage, it's anyone's guess as to where our favorite spot will be. With acts like Purity Ring, Theivery Corp and Lettuce on the new stage, I'm guessing it's already in the running for the top spot. The Grove stage is not lacking top quality acts either though with Odesza, Lotus, The Weeknd and Tune-Yards all gracing that stage.
The daily schedule came out recently and we've been scrutinizing it daily. Trying to put together a schedule of our own has been something of a challenge. With 5 stages and dozens of acts we want to see, being able to teleport would be a wonderful gift for these three days.

Aside from the headliners, Bassnectar, Big Gigantic and Deadmau5 which we know will draw record crowds, here are some of the highlights we are most excited for...
Odesza:
Lotus:
Slow Magic:
Thievery Corp:
Manic Focus:
Tune-Yards:
Lettuce:
If that wasn't enough music for you, hold on to your shorts for the after parties... Kicking off once the main stage shows wrap up, you are in for some great tunes and historically some of the coolest and most musically creative collaborations we've ever seen. Griz on Friday night and the Floozies on Saturday??? Yes, please!
Needless to say, we are a bit pumped... Who are you most excited to see?
Pegboard Nerds make some of the most entertaining music out of anyone in the electronic music scene. They come correct with very hard sounds and mix in amazing samples. This is "Swamp Thing" a sort of hybrid between a number of different genres, and utilizing excellent samples of sitar and other unique instruments. Go peep more from the Pegboard Nerds on their official website here. To listen to more of the superb music the Pegboard Nerds make check out the official spotify page for the group.
Happy Monday to all. We've got a fresh track for you today coming from a producer in Detroit that you should all have your eye on, Quarter Royce. In a time where house music is being attacked from so many different ways, it's cool to see how one artist puts his unique spin on it. Having a scary and almost scary sound, Quarter Royce seems to feed off of artists like Gesaffelstein and Boys Noize to find his unique style. His latest track "Waste" is just the first of three tracks that we've seen from this producer. Keeping the creepy vibe with this one, "Waste" will keep your feet tapping and have you looking over your shoulder all at the same time. For those who find joy in deep house/techno I urge you to keep up with Quarter Royce. It's only a matter of time you star to hear his tracks being played out more and more.
This remix by Vibe Street is a combo between Pretty Light's "I Know The Truth" and Herobutst's "Skurt Reynolds" and it is gold! Vibe Street put this one together to play at Electric Forest this year at the Silent Disco during his Pretty Lights tribute set which I personally attended. It was one of the most memorable sets of the weekend, but brought a lot of controversy over in the PLM world. Thru it all, Pretty Lights actually played this remix himself during his set at Camp Bisco over this past weekend so it seems that the water has settled. Check out this killer remix as well as Vibe Street's other tracks!
There was a certain time and place for electronic music to team up with everything else. It was somewhere in the mid to late 90's and I remember songs like "Battleflag" gaining huge popularity. Lo Fidelity Allstars brought a vast array of styles to the table, they were punk rock, electronic, and they kicked ass. Today they are no longer together, but their album How To Operate On A Blown Mind
still holds up and serves as a good transition marker into the age of electronica. You can stream the Lo Fidelity Allstars music on spotify at the official band page here.

Earlier this week, Emancipator dropped a remixed version of "Dusk Till Dawn" featuring a collection of different artists. Due to the wide range of styles, the new album breathes new air into an already established masterpiece. For today's Song of the Day, we have chosen the third track off the new album, an Odesza remix of "Eve II."
The track is beautifully reworked, taking two similar feel-good styles and mixing them together to produce perfection. Enjoy!
Today we show some love to another awesome artist out of Denver. Here we have a hybrid song from Nicholas Miller but you might call him Illenium. This is "So Wrong" an excellent single released just under a year ago. It's hard to categorize a song like this, it's part chill, part trap, and part future music. Illenium has definitely caught the attention of the Colorado crowd and he is expanding his fan base rapidly in all directions. You will see when checking into his library further that he has killer remixes of Kill Paris and Odesza songs; and he has amazing collaborations with another Denver producer Said The Sky. You can listen to more from Illenium on spotify here.
Just last week Michaƫl Bella aka Eptic dropped a superb EP called Immortal. This song "Spellbound" is from the new Immortal EP, and it has been stuck in my head ever since first hearing it. Eptic has an excellent range of styles, and he shows it on this new release. "Spellbound" displays a prime example of the type of dubstep Eptic creates. There are always a lot of elements that are mixed into Eptic tracks, he puts a beautiful blend of sounds together. And his bass drops are absolutely stunning, impossible to not bob your head to. You can listen to the new Immortal EP and a lot of other Eptic songs on his official soundcloud page here.
Happy Monday everyone, hope your holiday weekend was as good as mine. Unless you were at one of the final Grateful Dead shows in which case I'm sure it was much better. Nevertheless its another Monday and we've got some new fire coming from the Los Angeles duo known as Gladiator. In their latest remix they've gone after "Bad Blood" which is the newest single from Taylor Swift. Similar to their remix of "Muscle", this remix has that fat and heavy synth sound to raise your trap arms to eleven. Coming hot off a great showing at EDC we've been waiting for some new work from these guys and it's exactly what we needed.
Today's song of the day comes to you from the lowtemp owner Denis Jasarevic, better known as his stage name Gramatik. With his 4th volume of Street Bangerz. This album features songs that Denis put together back when he was producing these raw, sample based hip hop beats. Apparently he dug through his computer and found these 22 songs and decided to put them all out on one album. This song "Weird" is simple and has such a good vibe feel. Listen for yourself and check out the rest of the album while you're at it. Happy listening.
