What better way to ring in summer than by an Explosions in the Sky jam sesh? The windows are open, the days are longer, the nights are better, and love is in the air; and there is no better way to celebrate love than by listening to this band.
Originating in Texas circa 1999, they have expanded and tugged at the heartstrings of millions across the globe. They first blew up because of the exposure their tracks had on the show "Friday Night Lights," as well as many other shows and movies. This song, "The Only Moment We Were Alone," was featured in Michael Moore's documentary "Capitalism: A Love Story." However, when I think about this song, in no way, shape, or form am I contemplating the aspects of capitalism. However, it does bring to question the idea that music, love, and human connection should overrule any type of evil system such as capitalism.This band just gets you right in the feels, and will hopefully continue to do so for years and years to come, because music doesn't get much better than this.
