Decadence is only days away and we couldn't be more pumped! Showcasing their largest lineup yet, Decadence 2016 is sure to make the history books. Limited tickets still remain and they're going quick.
In it's 4th iteration, the Summerset Music and Camping Festival has once again grown in both size and scale with added stages and it's most ambitious line-up yet. The 3-day festival held in western Wisconsin is just weeks away and as anticipation builds, we thought we'd run through what they have in store.
Now with music on 5 different stages, there is action happening all the time. Last year's upgraded Grove stage may have been the best of the 4. Now with this year's additon of the Meadow stage, it's anyone's guess as to where our favorite spot will be. With acts like Purity Ring, Theivery Corp and Lettuce on the new stage, I'm guessing it's already in the running for the top spot. The Grove stage is not lacking top quality acts either though with Odesza, Lotus, The Weeknd and Tune-Yards all gracing that stage.
The daily schedule came out recently and we've been scrutinizing it daily. Trying to put together a schedule of our own has been something of a challenge. With 5 stages and dozens of acts we want to see, being able to teleport would be a wonderful gift for these three days.

Slow Magic:
Thievery Corp:
Manic Focus:
Tune-Yards:
Lettuce:
If that wasn't enough music for you, hold on to your shorts for the after parties... Kicking off once the main stage shows wrap up, you are in for some great tunes and historically some of the coolest and most musically creative collaborations we've ever seen. Griz on Friday night and the Floozies on Saturday??? Yes, please!
Needless to say, we are a bit pumped... Who are you most excited to see?
Happy Monday to everyone! Today's song of the day comes with the pleasure of showing you the new Deadmau5 and Grabbitz collaboration that so many of us have been waiting for. Yesterday it came out on the Deadmau5 Soundcloud page and has already reached 125,000 plays. Titled "BLOOD FOR THE BLOODGOAT" this track has all the features of a signature Deadmau5 track along with the great voice of Grabbitz. This seven minute long, analogue synth built track is absolutely amazing. I need not say more then for you to listen to it. Sit back, relax and enjoy the sounds of Deadmau5 and Grabbitz.
Summer Set Music & Camping Festival is back for it's 4th year in Somerset, Wisconsin at the Somerset Ampitheatre about 45 minutes east of Minneapolis-St. Paul. The lineup this year can hang with the best of them featuring Bassnectar & Deadmau5 as headliners. Not to mention Tycho, Action Bronson, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Lettuce, Lotus, Railroad Earth, Thievery Corporation, and about 10 other artists, there is definitely something here for everyone. Although not the most well run festival, and certainly not the most organized, the lineup make up for the complete lack of everything else this festival offers its patrons in the way of art installations, live art, and interactive activities. Oh well, let's just go out in the middle of a field for a couple days and have a gay 'ol time with your homies.
This was a huge track a couple of years ago by Moguai called "Mpire." The album is also call Mpire and it was released through Mau5trap Records, the label founded by electronic mogul Deadmau5. Moguai creates very big epic songs, with just a touch of electro house. This is my favorite song from Moguai, I first heard it on XM Electronic Area and had to go check out more Moguai music. You can listen to a bunch more from Moguai on his official soundclound page here.
It's Sunday, you wake up not feeling so hot. What do you do? Sit back, turn this smooth melodic jam up and let these two amazing producers take all your troubles away.
Joel Zimmerman, aka Deadmau5, has been releasing a flurry of new, experimental, music through his SoundCloud page in the past couples of months and the most recent addition, "777," is pretty awesome in it's own right. It starts off with some pretty melodic piano like many of his recent releases but is soon lost into some moombah sounding bass and some masterful transitions. This 13 minute track almost seems like the score to a movie as it brings the listener through ups and downs and keeps your attention throughout. Joel showcases his high level of production ability and the incredible attention to detail that is consistent throughout his entire catalog. I love this other side to Deadmau5 that I haven't really felt since his first album, Get Scraped. I guess you can listen to the whole thing on Youtube, here, although I haven't checked the quality on it since I have it in my music collection.

Joel Zimmerman, better known by his stage name, Deadmau5, has posted several new songs on Soundcloud in the past 12 hours. The first, "Nyquist" which has already been labeled an electronic lullaby, can be found here, was him taking the fans back to 2005 when he released his first full length album, 'Get Scraped'.
"Errors in my head"
"Errors in my bread"
"Terrors in my bed"
"Sparrows made of lead"
These tracks feel like the mental wanderings of Deadmau5. Is this a peek inside what is on the horizon? Or just Mr. Zimmerman experimenting with new/old sounds? Thoughts?
Released less than 30 minutes ago, "Nyquist", Deadmau5's most recent single is him taking a step back to his first album, 'Get Scraped'. This is the experimental side of Joel Zimmerman that we have not seen since that 2005 release. This is the not the Deadmau5 that many fans are used to seeing, but it is the side of him this writer has longed for most. Give this song a listen and go into with an open mind. Check out 'Get Scraped' while you're at it, never a bad time.
