After 20 Years In Existence, Award-Winning International Events and Promotions Company Disco Donnie Presents Celebrates and Reflects Upon Recent Partnership with SFX, 2013 Highlights,Artist Developmentm & Exciting Events Upcoming.

From what began as a party movement delivered by word of mouth and hand-written flyers on brightly-colored construction paper, Disco Donnie Presents (DDP) stands by its dedication to bring musical credibility, innovative productions, professionalism and excitement back to the live show experience. From their explosive, eye-catching visuals to their lineup that reads like a who's who list of the electronic music scene, the music promotions company consistently evokes their vision and programming perfectly - fast forward to today, 20 years later, and the DDP brand is one of the top of its kind in the entire nation.

One cannot understand the full history of DDP without first knowing the man behind it all, Disco Donnie himself. Born James D. Estopinal Jr., the legendary promoter was an early pioneer of dance events in the middle of the Grunge age, "Disco Donnie's" intimate dance gatherings in his hometown of New Orleans quickly grew and eventually made him a timeless figure in the party scene. Despite his fun-loving persona, Disco Donnie has proven his hard work ethic in the business by creating some of the most well-known music events and promotions companies in the world.  A regular fixture on industry lists,  Disco Donnie ranked in the top 10 for In The Mix Power 50 players for 2013.

As another nominee on the list put it, “He’s the largest EDM promoter in what is currently the largest EDM market in the world. What more is there to say?” Additionally, he is a three-time winner of the illustriousURB Magazine Promoter of the Year Awardtwo-time recipient of the “30 Most Influential People in the Industry” by Club Systems Magazine, as well as one of “Dance Music’s Most Influential Executives” by Billboard Magazine

Following Disco Donnie Presents' recent partnership with NYC-based SFX, a premiere live electronic event and festival promoter, 2013 proved to be a banner year for Disco Donnie Presents. The year began with expansion into foreign markets beginning with Mexico's Alive Music Festival in January, and continuing with events in over five Mexican markets with major artists including Steve Aoki, Nervo, Knife Party and more.  At their very first Sundance Film Festival official after party, DDP hosted events with Kaskade, Nervo, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis left a lasting first impression indeed. The fun didn't stop there -- with March came an onslaught of events at Austin's SXSW collaborating with Benny Benassi and Ultra Records, Flosstradamus, Paul Oakenfold and many other big-name artists, as well as the opening of Scottsdale's Maya Beach Club with Calvin Harris in April. Add to that their recent new venture withMixify, and the company's success this year is apparent.  Disco Donnie Presents' total event attendance will entertain over one million fans this year.

Furthermore, this expansion has allowed the brand to focus more on philanthropy in the past year DDP has set up initiatives that includes donating $10K to RICH House from their 2nd annual Sunset Music Festival, used $10K of proceeds from their 2013 Meltdown Music Festival for Red Cross following the Texas fertilizer plant explosion, and is dedicated to nurturing and giving back to the music community: the company has pledged their ongoing support to the Moog Foundation and just recently decided to match every donation collected by DDP on their behalf.

In addition to DDP's commitment to supporting key local charities and good-doing organizations, the brand places a heavy focus on the budding careers of up-and-coming DJs like Audien, Bro Safari, Candyland, Carnage, Crizzly, Figure, Mat Zo, Zomboy, etc. Although the brand is a huge supporter of booking these young artists just starting to bubble, Disco Donnie Presents has had the support of some of the most celebrated electronic acts in the world, who consistently sing his praises. Kaskade says, "Donnie is the man. A real believer in music...bringing it to places I never thought it could go. I love the guy."Remarks Paul Oakenfold"I have a long history with Donnie, I've found that he's very professional and understands the electronic world like no other. It's been a real pleasure working with him over the years." Donnie has closely followed and supported the careers of big-room DJs and artists including Dada Life, Kaskade, Deadmau5, Porter Robinson, Skrillex, Steve Aoki, Tiësto, Zedd, including recent acts such as Adventure Club and Krewella, who DDP has believed in from their start and has remained an integral part in launching their live career. This fall DDP is hosting more than 40% of the dates on the Krewella tour.

With such a successful past 12 months, it's difficult to believe that Disco Donnie Presents is getting ready to kick off even more exhilarating events for Fall 2013 while continuing to branch out into entirely new territory.  For the the upcoming Labor Day holiday DDP certainly have every reason to celebrate at not just one, but three massive events,  including the wildly successful Mad Decent Block Party in Dallas onAugust 31,  the 3rd annual Sun City Music Festival in El Paso, and Isla Del Sol Fest Aug 31 & Sept 1with Major Lazer, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Showtek, Quintino and Carnage.

In the months to come DDP continues with its festivals and branded events abound,  launching a new venture with Electric Adventure - Sept 28 at Six Flags in New England and throwing their 2nd annual "Something Wicked" Halloween party in Houston on Oct 26, with Tiësto & more artists TBA. The 4th Annual Sound Wave in Scottsdale is also taking place with Tiesto, and Disco Donnie is taking on an entirely new branded event called Club Cirque in Tampa this October. Not much has changed since Donnie's early days of disco raving, and his events only get more forward-thinking and unique as time goes on.

As it stands, Disco Donnie Presents is North America's largest & longest running dance music network with over 100 markets, 5,000 shows since 1994, 600 events last year and countless top-tier DJs and musical guests booked annually. With over 1 million attendees expected in 2013, the brand continues to impress their patrons by making each event better than the last on an even larger scale --including festivals, outdoor events, and other parties bringing nothing but the best talent in the industry.Disco Donnie Presents is proof that even after 20 years disco ain't dead - so let's  keep dancing. #LIVEDISCO
