Here's a really cool video for the song "Here It Goes Again" by the group OK Go. These guys are all about choreographing clever visual displays for all of their music videos. This was the first big hit for the band, and this video went viral quick with 26 million plus views currently. Their music is a throwback style with very catchy guitar riffs and cool sing along lyrics. You can stream more from OK Go on Spotify by following this link.
The clever Radiohead song "Paranoid Android" and the animated music video changed something in my brain forever. The music is stunning, with flawless production, and there is no other band that could put a song like this together today. Even at the time back in 1997, while Radiohead dropped a new way of thinking, the only comparisons made were with classic rock bands like Pink Floyd. OK Computer was completely ahead of it's time, and may still be, the whole album is brilliant straight through. This song to me is as powerful as the Queen hit "Bohemian Rhapsody" and with a similar format. There is no real verse and chorus structure to the song. It's like a classical composition with different sections all together making a piece. Certain parts are repeated but not exactly the same, and the song just keeps progressing right until the end. Radiohead really set a high standard for grunge moving forward, and they have always remained on the cutting edge of new rock music ever since.
Ludacris goes off about his love for the nugs on this track "Blueberry Yum Yum." He is known for being a funny guy, and often his lyrics are clever and humorous. Ludacris is an intelligent rapper which is unique for the genre. His similes are well thought out, and he is able to describe scenarios with a comedic style that keeps a smile on your face. Smoke um if you got um, and especially if you got some Blueberry Yum Yum; get blazed with Ludacris.
