Today's song of the day is by My Morning Jacket off their most recent album, The Waterfall. What a perfect track to close out the album with.
Only Memories Remains....

Miike Snow is a very odd band name, especially considering there are three people in the band and none have that name. The band is made up of Christian Karlsson, Pontus Winnberg, and Andrew Wyatt. They call it "A three headed band with a one man name" on their facebook description. This is the official video for "Pretender" all of which was filmed during a Miike Snow performance at Hard Summer Music Festival in Los Angeles back in August of 2012. The video depicts a guy (The Perfect Human) with a cartoon type of face having the time of his life while extremely drunk at the concert. "Pretender" is a sort of futuristic indie-rock jam with lots of energy and experimental blends of sounds. There are a lot of really good songs from Miike Snow, you can get more info on tour dates and new releases on their official website by following the link.
For today we have a cool melodic song from Pascal Arbez-Nicolas aka Vitalic. This track is called "Second Lives" and it has a simple beat with just the right amount of intrigue. This is a very odd music video and also the bands official representation for the song. It shows a number of different scenarios that all take place in a bathroom stall. It's weird how the same area can make one claustrophobic and at the same time others might utilize the space for a lusty or perverted experience. The song is awesome, a true heartbeat type of track of a progressive format with a lot of cool sounds. Vitalic has a very creative musical style and he also sells interesting merchandise with his logo the upside down triangle which can be purchased here.
Here's a kick-ass video for a song by Pyramid called "Wolf." Pyramid is a French artist with a clever electronic style that is hard to describe. The video is shot like a short film depicting a heist. Two masked men scheme to steal a valuable item, a mysterious pyramid and floating orb. The song is rather intense, perfectly accompanying the harsh actions taking place in the struggle to recover the package. Pyramid doesn't follow a specific genre it's just about good music. You can check out more on the official Pyramid website here.
For a while you couldn't go anywhere without hearing a "The" band and punky emo music. The Strokes were one of those bands, but they managed to be one of the trend setters rather than following along. Jam out today with "Reptilia" one of the best songs from The Strokes, and this is the official music video.
