Savoy feat: Fatherdude - "Living Color" -- New Music & Tour Inside

"Living Color really embodies our deep love for Disco and Soul music. The inspiration was to really pull feelings and instruments from our favorite era of Disco ('79-80) but for the production and arrangement to feel current and new, yet timeless at the same time. We wanted to make something that doesn't sound like a trend or something that might be expected of us - but more a culmination of who we really are as artists and what has inspired us the most. Father Dude is an amazing vocalist, and we love how the song ended up with a feel good vibe that just flows.

We're on tour and brining along the homie Puppet! Tickets - bit.ly/savoytickets"

Listen: Tycho Releases Single, "Divisions" - First New Music Since 2014's Awake

Apart from the Awake Remixes, the likes of Scott Hansen and his Tycho crew (Rory O'Connor - Drums; Zac Brown - Guitar; Joe Davancens - Bass, Synth, Keyboards) have been fairly quite as of late on the new music front. It was no secret they were back in the studio and it was only a matter of time for something new to hit the airwaves and boy did they deliver in time for warm summer months. Take a listen to "Division" below and brace yourself for more new music in the near future (hopefully)!

Ross Pennock - "Don't Stand Still" (Unlimited Gravity Remix) - Song of the Day - 1/10/15 [FREE DOWNLOAD]

Ross Miller, aka Ross Pennock, and Ronnie Weberg, aka Unlimited Gravity, have been good friends of mine for a while now, and both these dudes have new albums set to come out soon. Ross' is hitting the webs on the 19th, while Ronnie's is yet to have a set release date. What better way to celebrate the coming of great things than with a re-imagination of this landmark track by Ross. Hope you all enjoy today's SotD as much as I do.

Unlimited Aspect (Unlimited Gravity + Project Aspect) @ The Miramar in Milwaukee
Colorado native, Ronnie Weberg, aka Unlimited Gravity, gave us a special remix of a relatively famous song by Ty Dolla $ign. Displaying some of his talent in the glitch-hop realm, this remix is a great example of what top notch production will get you. Lucky for us all of us, it's available as a free download through his facebook, HERE.

Gov't Mule - "Dark Side of the Mule" (Review)

Gov't Mule recently released their newest album, Dark Side of the Mule, which has been years-in-the-making. All the selections off this new LP were recorded live in Boston at The Orpheum Theatre on Halloween 2008. Including some of my favorite Pink Floyd selections like: "One of These Days," "Fearless," "Have a Cigar," and "Wish You Were Here," this album is surely not to disappoint the avid Pink Floyd fan. Mule maintains the feel the original track all while effortlessly infusing their well-known improv. style jams. The Mule is Kickin'. Once "Comfortably Numb" comes around, if you were impressed yet, this is the final stop on that negative train. They absolutely murder this song with shredding guitars and on point vocals. Overall this is a great effort I think most fans of Pink Floyd will appreciate, kudos to the guys of the band for this stellar performance. Streaming free through Spotify below.

Artwork for the Christopher Willits Remix of "Montana"
Tycho announced a forthcoming deluxe version of their most recent endeavor, Awake, just a couple of days ago just before releasing an awesome remix to Spoon's track, "Inside Out." Now, he gave us a stellar remix of "Montana" by another San Francisco based musician, Christopher Willits - who just got finished supporting Tycho throughout their 'Awake World Tour.' The artwork incorporates the single covers from his 'Opening' album. The track will be one of four new remixes featured on the Awake (Deluxe Version) available digitally on Tuesday, December 16th - streaming free below.

Tipper - "Dreamsters" - Song of the Day - 12/7/14

Dave Tipper is a genius. Today's song of the day is off his 2014 release, Forward Escape. If this album isn't on the radar yet, you really need to reconsider what you're doing with your life. Arguably one of the best electronic albums of the year, this effort is set to impress through it's entirety. Pick it up from his bandcamp page and support his vision. :)

Spoon - "Inside Out" (Tycho Remix)

Austin, Texas based band, Spoon, released their first album in 1996. Almost 19 years later they released their most recent album, They Want My Soul. "Inside Out" is one of 10 tracks that make up their 2014 release, but Scott Hansen & Co. decided that just wasn't enough. After masterfully infusing the vocals from the original track into the Tycho flavor they have so carefully crafted over the years, us listeners are given an uncommon treat - a Tycho track with lyrics! A treat for fans new and old, sit back and enjoy this awesome abstract pièce de résistance. If you're in Australia or Asia, check out their tour dates below!
