Dillon Francis – "Bruk Bruk (I Need Your Lovin)" - Song Of The Day - 6/29/2015

Happy Monday to all on this amazing Monday! After much anticipation,  late last night Dillon Francis released the first track off of his new Moombahton EP. "Bruk Bruk (I Need Your Lovin)" brings me back to the old days of Dillon Francis where I can first remember him. It's so awesome to see him going back to his roots that we all love so much. Not to say that his new album was upsetting by any means, but this is definitely a fresh sound from Dillon to balance out Money Sucks Friends Rule. The release of his EP This Mixtape Is Fire  is set for August 14th. It will include seven tracks with names like Calvin Harris, Chromeo, Bro Safari, and the one we've all been waiting for, Skrillex.

Bro Safari - "Uncrushable" - Song of the Day [3/14/15]

http://blog.lessthan3.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/11.-bro-safari-biggie-scumbag-lessthan3.jpg Nick Weiller or as you may know him Bro Safari is a one of a kind producer. He has been a part of many amazing collaboration bands but when he goes solo he is Bro Safari. Weiller is a part of the trio Evol Intent with Ashley Jones and Michael Diasio. He has also done work with Kill The Noise and they form the band Ludachrist. Bro Safari has a diverse range of styles mastered, this track is from the moombahcore perspective. Weiller when with Evol Intent kicks out the fast paced drum and bass music, and some of his early solo productions are slowed way down into moombahton. He now dabbles with trap and many other sub genres of electronic music, and he collaborates with more people all the time including UFO! - another awesome electronic producer. Get the latest music, merchandise and tour information from the official Bro Safari website. If you are in the Denver area you can catch Bro Safari tonight at the 3rd annual Trapfest!

Kito & Reija Lee - "Run For Cover" - Song of the Day - 10/30/14

These two girls create some amazing music, Kito on the decks and Reija Lee on the microphone. They dabble with multiple genres and add more flavor to anything they touch. I really like their moombahton style, but they do almost every electronic music sub-genre justice. This track "Run For Cover" comes from the Mad Decent Volume 1 compilation, an insane collection of kick ass electronic talent. Follow Kito & Reija Lee on facebook to stay on top of their tour dates and new music.

DJ Cutman ft. Spamtron - "Overworld" - Song of the Day [9/8/14]

http://purenintendo.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/335691_604180011466_21502426_32849167_1807248145_o.jpgDJ Cutman is an elite video game music remixer/producer, podcast host, and he runs the record label called GameChops. This song "Overworld" comes from an awesome Zelda themed EP entitled Triforce of Bass and it has a number of other chiptune artists represented too, like Spamtron. DJ Cutman hosts a weekly podcast called This Week In Chiptune where he highlights the best in the electronic sub-genre. The podcast consists of mostly a mix of the newest chiptune bangers from all around the world. On the label Gamechops you will find a bunch of nostalgic video game music re-imagined and re-vamped with new crispy sounds. "Overworld" is one of my favorites because of three reasons, it's chiptune style, the Zelda music, and the moombahton tempo. Go check out more DJ Cutman, his label GameChops, and This Week In Chiptune for a constant stream of amazing music.

Downlink - "Tiger" - Song of the Day - [7-28-14]

Downlink is a badass. He's a producer, he's a part of the robot band Destroid, and he runs his own record label called Uplink Audio. This song "Tiger" is a couple years old now but I still rock it out often. "Tiger" is a killer track in the moombahcore style, a sub-genre somewhere in between moombahton and hardcore dubstep. Stay on the up and up with Downlink's label Uplink Audio and follow him on his official facebook page here.

Nadastrom - "i!!" - Song of the Day [4-1-14]

When you look up the definition of moombahton you will inevitably come across the name Dave Nada, the producer credited for developing the sub-genre. He and Matt Nordstrom together make up the band Nadastrom. They create excellent electronic music like today's song of the day "i!!". If you didn't know, now you know; so go rock out to some sick moombahton beats by Nadastrom.

Jim Grim - "Staircase to Hell LP"

Jim Grim is probably a new name to most people, but with songs like his it's only a matter of time before he blows up. Jim Grim is from Norway a hot spot for excellent new EDM, with artists like Savant and Twistex also emerging from there. A similar style comes from all three as well, a sort of chiptune/dubstep. Jim Grim released "Staircase To Hell" on his own, unable to get backing from SectionZ Records, the label Savant and Twistex are signed with. Nevertheless the album is amazing with 14 unique tracks of multiple different EDM genres including glitch-hop, electro-house and dubstep. Check out Jim Grim's soundcloud page for more electrifying music, many of the his songs are available for free download.

Duwell - "Drop It" [FREE DOWNLOAD]

Released only a couple hours ago by electronic artist Duwell, Drop It is an amazing blend of moombahton and electro house. A club banger at its core, the tune starts off with a heavy bassline and a sharp moombah beat. As the song progresses, the bass slowly starts oscillating and you can hear a house beat kicking in. The drop is very effortless and simple; however, it is a perfect transition between the buildup and the spacey synth progressions. Because of its slow and very heavy nature, Drop It is a perfect song for festivals.

Dillon Francis and Flux Pavilion - "I'm The One"

This is something I have been waiting for ever since Dillon Francis remixed Flux Pavilion's "Daydreamer". Finally Dillon Francis and Flux Pavilion together for a massive moombahton anthem. "I'm The One" is essentially a perfect mix of the different signature sounds each artist uses. The drop has distorted electric organ melodies a corner stone for Flux Pavilion songs, and then smooth moombahton bass that Dillon Francis is know for. The second drop gets a bit more intense as more glitch sounds are mixed in. Both Dillon Francis and Flux Pavilion have dabbled into a plethora of genres, but when they come together it's something special. "I'm The One" will be a part of a future Flux Pavilion release entitled the Freeway EP.
