Touch Sensitive - Pizza Guy - Song Of The Day - 12/26/2014

Here's two words: Touch Sensitive. Here's another two words: Pizza Guy. This time of year is a time meant to be spent with friends, family, and loved ones, and nothing brings people happiness and togetherness quite like music does, especially like that of Touch Sensitive. The solo project of Michael DiFrancesco, Touch Sensitive brings us back to a time when some of us (myself included) were yet to be born into this world. His beats are produced with the technique of what is known as "Italo" short for "Italo disco," a genre originating in Italy spanning from the mid-1970s to the end of the 1980s. It brings us back to the funky and groovy disco scene, also recently referred to as "Nudisco."DiFrancesco has been making music for quite some time now, and Touch Sensitive is not a name unfamiliar, but with his recent EP released this year ("Pizza Guy," along with another great number, "Show Me") under the management of Future Classic, it is only proper of us to acknowledge his existence and ability to create such feel good music. If you get a chance to watch the music video for "Pizza Guy," you won't be disappointed: It's DiFrancesco driving around delivering pizza, but of course, to the doors of none other than the likes of Chet Faker and Flume, who also derive under the artistic management of the Australian-based label Future Classic. So during this memorable holiday season, whether you're staying in with family ordering pizza, or heading into the city for a night of dancing like it's 1983, playing this catchy tune on repeat will surely be fitting for a multitude of festive situations.
