Following her collaboration with Wolfgang Gartner on the single "Overdose" (April 2013), Denmark's glam-pop queen Medina seeped into our veins with her addictive single "Junkie" from her forthcoming sophomore album release, Forever due out on Ultra Music this December. In anticipation of the album Medina is dropping a "Junkie" Remix Package, out October 8th via Ultra Music. Danish producersNONSENS crafted a banging trapstyle remix of the shiny electro-pop number, as premiered on The Music Ninja. Additional remixes come courtesy of funky Danish techno progenitor Daniel Rothmannand Danish electro-pop group Odd Collection, and the remix package is available via iTunes.

While sitting on the top of the charts is all very exciting to Medina, there’s a sheer honesty with her that resonates beyond the clubs on a much larger level. “Junkie is a song about how addictive love and being in love is! The way you can loose your mind when you don't get what you want or get it how you want it to go… like a junkie fiending for drugs." She continues, "I can't write about champagne bottles and dancing on tables. That's just not me. I have a lot of art, and the way I write is quite sensitive."affirms Medina.
